Fred Dalton Thompson is a former Tennessee senator and a conservative. He was born on August 19th, 1942 in

Sheffield, Alabama. Fred graduated high school in 1960 and he went to college at Memphis State University. He received an

undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science in 1964. He also earned a law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1967. In

1968, Mr. Thompson met Ronald Reagan. At the time, Mr. Reagan was a governor. Fred says that Mr. Reagan was the nicest man he

had ever met. This helped influence Fred to become a president in the future. He helped a colleague to get her job back when she was

fired without a reason. When he helped her win her case, it was made into a book, which was made into a movie. Fred played himself in

the movie and this helped launch his acting career. So far, he has been in 18 movies including, In The Line Of Fire, and Die Hard II.
